3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide billing, inventory, customer, reporting, printing, and sync features;
- Authenticate users and manage staff access within a shop;
- Back up and restore shop data where backup features are enabled;
- Maintain app security, prevent abuse, and improve reliability;
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
We do not use your business data for unrelated advertising profiling.
4. Where Data Is Stored
- On your device: Core shop data is stored in local app storage so you can continue working offline.
- On our servers: When online sync is active, business data and account information may be stored on servers operated for BillZo (hosted at mobizate.com).
- Backups: Database backup files may be stored on our servers when backup or migration features are used.
5. Sharing of Information
We may share information only in these situations:
- Service providers — hosting, SMS/email delivery, payment/subscription platforms, and infrastructure partners that help us operate the App;
- Legal requirements — when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and security;
- Business transfer — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with appropriate safeguards;
- With your direction — when you export, share, or print data (for example via WhatsApp, email, or thermal printers).
We do not sell personal information to third parties.
6. Permissions
The App may request permissions such as:
- Internet — sign-in, sync, updates, catalog, and cloud features;
- Camera — barcode scanning;
- Bluetooth — connecting to supported thermal printers;
- USB — connecting to supported USB printers on compatible devices;
- Storage / files — exports, imports, and attachments where enabled;
- Notifications — optional alerts where supported.
You can manage permissions in your device settings. Some features may not work if permissions are disabled.
7. Data Retention
- Local data remains on your device until you delete it, clear app data, or uninstall the App.
- Server-side data is retained while your account/shop remains active and as needed for backups, legal, and operational purposes.
- You may request deletion of account or shop data subject to legal and accounting record requirements.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and secure authentication. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. You are responsible for protecting device access, staff credentials, and shop-level permissions.
9. Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of business records you enter, lawful use of customer data, and compliance with applicable tax, invoicing, and privacy laws in your jurisdiction. Do not upload unlawful content or misuse customer contact details.
10. Children’s Privacy
BillZo is a business application and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. International Users
If you use online features, data may be processed on servers outside your country in accordance with applicable law and our service arrangements.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the effective date at the top of this page when changes are made. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
