Finvi Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Finvi mobile application (“App”) and related services. By downloading, installing, or using Finvi, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. About Finvi
Finvi is a savings-first budget and expense planner. It helps you track income, spending, fixed commitments, and savings goals. Optional Finvi Advisor provides AI-generated guidance. Your primary financial data is stored on your device. Optional Google Drive backup stores backups in your own Google account.
2. Eligibility
You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction and comply with all applicable laws. If you use the App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
3. License to Use the App
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Finvi for your personal or internal financial planning purposes, subject to these Terms and applicable app store rules.
You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where allowed by law;
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App except as permitted by law;
- Use the App to violate any law or third-party rights;
- Interfere with or disrupt the App, its security, or related systems;
- Misuse the AI advisor to generate unlawful, harmful, or abusive content.
4. Your Content and Data
You retain ownership of the financial entries, notes, and other content you create in Finvi (“User Content”). You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your data and for maintaining appropriate backups.
You grant us only the limited rights necessary to operate the App on your device, process Finvi Advisor requests you initiate, and—if you enable it—handle backup files through your selected Google account.
5. Local Storage, Backups, and Advisor
- Your primary data is stored locally on your device.
- Deleting the App, clearing app data, or losing your device may result in permanent data loss unless you have a backup.
- Google Drive backup is optional and depends on your Google account, network, and Google service availability.
- Finvi Advisor responses are generated by AI and may be incomplete or incorrect. You must verify important financial decisions with qualified professionals.
- You are responsible for reviewing backup and restore actions before confirming them.
6. Third-Party Services
Certain features rely on third-party services such as Google Sign-In, Google Drive, and AI infrastructure. Your use of those services is subject to the third party’s terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party outages, policy changes, account suspensions, or data handling outside the App.
7. Notifications and Reminders
Finvi can schedule local reminders for expense logging you configure. Delivery depends on your device settings, battery optimizations, permissions, and operating system behavior. We do not guarantee delivery at an exact time.
8. App Updates and Changes
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time. We may also update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
9. No Professional Advice
Finvi and Finvi Advisor are informational tools only. They do not provide legal, tax, investment, or other professional financial advice. AI responses are not a substitute for advice from a licensed advisor, accountant, or other qualified professional. You are responsible for your financial decisions.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR THAT DATA WILL NEVER BE LOST.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE, BUSINESS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP OR RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED CONTENT.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR USD $50 IF YOU USE A FREE VERSION.
12. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your User Content, misuse of the App, or violation of these Terms or applicable law.
13. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required by law or app store policy. Sections that by nature should survive termination will survive.
14. App Store Terms
If you downloaded Finvi from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, your use is also subject to the applicable store’s terms. Apple and Google are not responsible for the App or its content except as required by their store policies.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your country of residence, unless mandatory local law requires otherwise. Courts with competent jurisdiction in your country of residence will generally handle disputes, unless app store or consumer protection rules require a different forum.
